Driven to secure medical treatment for her brother, Ming enters the brutal training ground of the Dark Pavilion. She endures its lethal trials to earn the Crown Prince's protection, officially swearing an oath to become a lifelong Shadow Guard. This new role is a means to an end, however, as she secretly vows to make those who destroyed her family pay in blood. Ming now ascends to meet the two partners who will form her assigned trio.
