He reveals he already knows she’s an assassin sent by the Crown Prince to kill him. Arguing that hiding is pointless, he refuses to run. Yue makes a desperate counter-proposal: they should escape together to the vast Northern Territories to find freedom. Stunned, he had fully accepted his death, but her plea for him to survive changes everything.
