The Emperor confronts his exiled son, Changsheng, over the massacre of the Ming family. Despite the Emperor's pleas to spare his brother for the sake of family and reputation, the Crown Prince refuses to be bound by a royal decree that would grant immunity. He defiantly orders Ming Yue to execute the rebel prince, honoring his vow to the fallen Ming clan. Though Changsheng desperately appeals to their past bond, Ming Yue carries out the sentence, finally achieving vengeance for her slaughtered family. He then comforts her, vowing to restore her home and stand by her side forever.
