Sam collapses into a magically induced slumber as Rose reveals her treacherous potion. While Annie panics, Rose remains chillingly calm, noting the enchantment could last a day or a millennium. She then turns the crisis into an opportunity, instructing Annie that the only way to save her father is by performing a ritual to awaken some "slumbering ambition." Annie must now gamble on this dangerous magic to break the curse.
