Confronted with video evidence of his mother's murder and the arson used to cover it up, a defiant Mr. Delacroix claims the accusations are baseless. His accuser, however, reveals the victim's body has already been recovered. The confrontation escalates when Delacroix learns he no longer owns the property, making his arson a crime against the new owner. As officers move to arrest him, he snaps and takes a hostage, threatening to shoot if anyone comes closer.
